CAD Engineering Consulting Office

Professor Mohammed Sakr, Professor of Structural Engineering at Tanta University, has a strong academic background in structural engineering, which he gained through his studies and experience in teaching and scientific research. Establishing the CAD Engineering Office allowed him to apply this theoretical knowledge on the ground and turn it into tangible engineering projects.

Linking Academic Experience with Practical Experience:

  1. D. in Structural Engineering: His extensive academic experience in structural engineering, which he gained through his studies and experience in teaching and scientific research, formed the basis for his innovative engineering designs.
  2. Specialization in Reinforced Concrete: Through his work as a Professor of Structural Engineering at Tanta University, Professor Mohammed Sakr gained extensive knowledge in reinforced concrete, which is the main material in most construction projects.
  3. Design of Steel Structures: In addition to his expertise in reinforced concrete, Professor Mohammed Sakr has strong experience in designing steel structures, which helped him design many telecommunication towers by:
    • Load Knowledge: Telecom towers rely on precise structural designs to withstand various loads such as equipment weight, wind, and earthquakes. Professor Mohammed Sakr's experience in structural analysis enabled him to calculate these loads and design the towers safely.
    • Selection of Suitable Materials: Telecom towers require the use of materials with high strength and durability. His experience in reinforced concrete and steel structures helped him choose the right materials for each tower.
    • Foundation Design: Foundations are one of the most important elements of telecom towers, as they ensure their stability. Professor Sakr’s experience in foundation design allowed him to determine the appropriate type of foundation for each tower and its depth.
    • Wind Resistance: Telecom towers are exposed to high wind loads. His expertise in structural dynamics enabled him to design towers that resist these loads.
  4. Familiarity with Structural Design: His experience in structural design paved the way for calculating loads and distributing them safely and effectively in various projects, including multi-story buildings.
  5. Leading a team of engineers: Leading a team of engineers at the CAD office enabled him to transfer his expertise and guide them through the various stages of design and implementation.
  6. Cooperation with Emaar Contracting Company: His office, in cooperation with Emaar Contracting Company, supervises the design and implementation of many projects, which ensures integration between design and implementation.

7. Focus on quality:

    • Quality Control Team: His office includes a team specialized in quality control, which ensures that the highest quality standards are achieved in all stages of design and implementation.
    • Dealing with Prestigious Entities: His office has dealt with prestigious entities such as Tanta University, Kafr El-Sheikh University, Tanta University Hospitals, Military Production, the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, the Naval Forces, and the Administrative Oversight Authority, which reflects the confidence of these entities in his experience and competence.

Examples of Projects Designed and Implemented:

  • Residential Projects: Design and supervision of the implementation of 55 residential projects with a total cost of 933 million Egyptian pounds.
  • Service Projects: Design and supervision of implementing various service facilities such as colleges at Al-Salam University, commercial malls, hospitals, etc., reflecting his ability to meet the different needs of society.
  • Administrative Projects: His office also designed many administrative projects, highlighting his experience in designing office and commercial buildings.
  • Industrial Projects: Design and supervision of the implementation of ready-mix concrete plants, factories, and telecommunication towers, including:
    • 500 square and triangular telecom towers: These towers were designed for Alkan (agents for Vodafone and Etisalat) in Egypt and African countries.
    • 10 cable-supported towers: These towers were also designed for Alkan.
    • A factory in Mahalla Al-Kubra: This factory was designed with a 35-meter iron truss.
    • Covering the roof of the fish market in Kafr El-Sheikh.
    • Metal structures at the Titanic Hotel in Hurghada.

Professor Mohammed Sakr is an example of how to transform academic experience into practical success by applying theoretical knowledge in various engineering projects, including telecommunication towers, where he employed his knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, structural analysis, foundation design, and wind resistance.
